I have come to realize after 1 year of song writing that:

1) the songs I wrote will probably not be heard by other people other than  myself and my wife who happens to be a "captured audience",

2) the songs I wrote probably will not get any airplay in church or radio, and only favorites or people with "insider link-ups" will get those exposure and opportunities,

3) if I wrote something earth shaking and of "hit material", someone probably will take it and say it's their own work despite the fact that it's copyrighted,

4) the songs sent to my "friends" for listening will end up in their "downloaded folder" and will probably never be heard again,

5) nobody will be half as excited as I am with the songs I wrote, and the most you can expect of them is a "oh... ok" respond to a new song written,

6) the value of a song lies not in the air play it gets or royalties it can earn, but on just that ONE Soul that may be encouraged or challenged through it.

Well, for points 1 to 5, that's life!

For point 6, that's Satisfaction and Significance for me and possibly destiny for the one who listens to it.

I choose to write songs for this reason and that's the only reason I want to continue writing new songs in spite of the fact that I may be the only "audience" :)

So would you still like to listen to my songs and perhaps be encouraged and meet up with your destiny? I'll leave it to you!
