About Worship Guitar School (WGS) Online Guitar Course

Published by Ronald at 4:35 pm under Guitar Course And Products, Praise and Worship

WGS Online is an online Praise and Worship Guitar Video Course that provides a systematic and structured way of learning how to play the guitar in a very focused, solo-guitarist situation.

It will take a total beginner who has never played a guitar before, all the way into the intermediate and advance levels. It is specifically catered for a solo rhythm guitarist to learn how to play like a full band, simulating more than one instrument using the guitar in an unplugged situation.

From someone who don’t even know anything about the guitar, this course will guide them to eventually play any Contemporary Praise and Worship songs, create their own renditions and arrangements, create dynamics and flow for corporate or individual praise and worship, and have a good understanding of chord construction, scales, music theory, etc.

Most importantly, it addresses an area that currently none other online (Christian) guitar lesson program (secular or Christian) offers – that is teach how to simulate different instruments onto the guitar so that it sounds like a full band (rather than just guitar). Without this, every piece of music played will be “patterned”, predictable and monotonous.

This skill is very important especially for those who do not have the luxury of a band supporting the music. Examples of this situation will be a small group prayer meeting, personal quiet time, cell group meetings whereby the only instrument available is the guitar.

Sample Lesson Clips

Here’s a sample lesson from Worship Guitar School (WGS) Online Guitar Course:

Here’s another sample clip explaining how to simulate bass and guitar parts in the Planet Shaker song, “Reflector”:

Every part of the lesson is designed to appeal to the visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners, and comes with diagrams, charts and notes so that  you can follow through the lessons easily.

Apart from all these, this course also covers advanced topics such as dynamics, guitar-specific music theory, etc. You can check out the site (link is located at top left of page) for more information of the course.

Keep walking!!
